Description

Using a QuizTime spaced-education model, we aim to improve knowledge and application of best antibiotic stewardship practices among anesthesiology providers. At the end conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Understand the evidence and importance of pre-incision prophylaxis antibiotic dosing. Recognize risk factors that predispose a patient to surgical site infections. Identify the implications of patient comorbidites on antibiotic adjustment recommendations. Understand how the volume of distribution, hemorrhage, and transfusion affect the tissue concentration and effectiveness of antibiotics.
